Working as a textile designer means to engage in practices that are as old as mankind itself. Significant structures, materials and even ways of working relating to textiles have partly remained unchanged. As such, they are both historical and contemporary. It is this consciousness that fuels my curiosity to those that have gone before us and what their way of working – and living – could mean for us now.
